We'll combine a coach ride and walking to explore all the sights and secrets of Zagreb. As you ride you'll have the chance to see the Lower Town, part of the city built in the 19th and 20th century, and its sights.
Legend has it that Zagreb was named after a chance encounter between a girl and a Croatian governor. She was standing next to a well and he asked her for some water saying: “Mandušo, scoop it up!” (in Croatian: “Zagrabi!”).
We’ll combine a coach ride and walking to explore all of the main Zagreb sights. We’ll visit Kaptol (the medieval part of Zagreb), the Franciscan Monastery and the adjacent Church of St. Francis, which according to legend dates back to the 13th century, the time of St. Francis of Assisi.
